MONTHLY MEAL KITS MINISTRY

The Monthly Meal Kits ministry provides pantry-stable meal kits to community members experiencing food insecurity. Each kit contains all the ingredients needed to prepare a complete meal at home, along with a recipe card and encouragement.
Community members sign up in advance using a Google Form so we can prepare appropriate quantities, while a small number of additional kits are reserved for drop-in needs.

How It Works:
•HCC congregation members donate pantry ingredients and supplies
•Volunteers assemble meal kits in aluminum casserole dishes with ingredients and recipe cards
•On the designated Friday, community members pick up their kits between 4:00–6:00 PM

Extra Community Partnership: We are planning to partner with the volunteers at Thomas Raddall Pallet Village to provide a predetermined number of pre-cooked, ready-to-eat casseroles for village residents each month.
Ways HCC Members Can Get Involved
HCC members can support this ministry in several ways:
•Donate Ingredients & Supplies: Pantry items, spices, aluminum casserole dishes, etc.
•Help Package Meal Kits: 1–2 “Meal Kit Packaging Parties” are held each month prior to pick-up day.
•Recipe Card Assembly
•Help with Distribution: Volunteers assist during Friday pick-up by greeting community members and tracking kit distribution.
•Contribute Encouragement: Donate homemade crafts, handwritten notes, or scripture/inspirational messages to include in kits.
•Submit Recipe Suggestions: Recipes must use only pantry-stable ingredients (no refrigeration required).
